Asus GTX 480 (ENGTX480) Review

Conclusion:
This card is on the expensive side, it uses a lot of power and can be a little noisy, however it’s also the highest performing single GPU graphics card on the market.

PhysX support is a great extra no matter how you look at it and though I didn’t benchmark it in this review, I have tested video conversion and seen massive improvements, not only from normal CPU conversion, but from 2 8800GTX cards, thanks to the much more powerful CUDA power of this card.

I had to redo many of the benchmarks while writing this as Nvidia updated their drivers to their (arguably faster) current WHQL set, going by previous experience, as time goes on newer drivers should be able to squeeze a little bit more out of this card.

The Asus voltage tweaking software will be tested in a later posting.
